Most times we ignore the small signs and adapt to it until our body gives our brain an overwhelming signal that it cannot take anymore. Our emotional pain will eventually manifest to physical pain. Our physical pain is a sign of overload or distress. When we dismiss the signs, we turn pain into suffering which leads to more harm mentally and physically.
Pain is a symptom of a bigger problem, an underlying cause, or an issue not dealt with. With emotional pain it can be from something in your past or present creating a trigger that a situation needs to change; it is producing a physical symptom that you are having an emotional reaction to. Physical pain can last awhile prior to someone doing anything about it. That is why people tend to suffer through it. Pain is enviable, suffering is a choice. There is always something you can do about it. You never just have to live with the pain. Unfortunately, people tend not to change. The pain of change is worse than their pain of suffering. Massage and coaching are an integrative part of your healing for both the body and mind connection.
